SCHOLES Park Raiders and Phoenix were the top clubs at the Scarborough and District Minor League finals winning all four of the games they played in at Queensgate.
Raiders boys tasted success in the under-nines Specsavers Cup with a 2-0 victory over Fishburn Park and they also lifted the under-12s Schneider Electric Cup with a 3-0 win against Ayton Athletic.

And the girls were also on winning form as they won the under-13s Trophy Trader Cup with a 3-0 defeat of Hunmanby and clinched the under-12s Trophy Trader Cup, getting the better of Hunmanby 2-0.

Phoenix under-10s got the better of West Pier Juniors 5-1 in the Specsavers Knockout Trophy and their under-11s beat Cayton 3-1 in the Specsavers Cup final.

The under-eights were victorious 3-1 against Eastfield in the same competition while the under-10s also claimed the Specsavers Cup, winning 2-0 against Fishburn Park.

Raiders official Gary French said: "It was a fantastic couple of days for the club and to win all four finals was a brilliant achievement.

"The club has had a terrific campaign and we have some good people involved in helping make the club a success.

"I would like to congratulate all those who have taken part and we are very pleased with our achievements.

"To have a girls team winning two finals is also a big thing for us and we are always wanting to progress."

Phoenix official Colin Hepples added: "We had a very good cup finals event and it was excellent to win all the matches we played in.

"The finals are always exciting and there is a great atmosphere at Bridlington and we are proud of all the players."

Fishburn Park picked up a couple of trophies as they won the under-13s Schneider Electric Cup 2-0 and the under-16s version of the competition 4-1 over FC Seamer.
