Filey Boys and Girls Football Club's top performers were rewarded at their annual presentation awards evening at the Blue Dolphin holiday Camp.
The event saw children aged between seven and 16 years of age and spread throughout the club's seven teams eagerly watching to see if they had won an award this season.

The event was hosted by club chairman Mel Playforth and the awards were presented to the children by the Filey Town Mayor, Councillor Marion Wright and her consort, Councillor David Murton.

Playforth acknowledged that the last season had been challenging, with the club focusing its limited resources on building the new clubhouse.

He emphasised the need for the club to start rebuilding the girls teams, which have been popular in the past.

Coun Wright congratulated the children on another successful season and the club for it's success in realizing their ambition to build a new headquarters, on land just off Scarborough Road in Filey.

Bradley Gregory was this season's winner of the Kent Trophy, which is presented to one member of the club each year, for a special effort in their commitment to the club.

The girls' Nuttall Trophy was not presented this season, due to a lack of girl members.

The club enters the new season under the banner of FC Filey, as they take their first venture into adults football with their new Sunday league team.
