CLUBS voted against new sides starting in a higher division,at the Evening News Scarborough & District Saturday League EGM last night.
New teams West Pier Reserves, Ryedale, Newlands Res and Eastfield Res put their names forward to be placed straight into the second division, but the member clubs rejected the idea.

They instead opted to alter the constitution to 12 in divisions one and two and 14 in division three.
