AYTON'S impressive early-season Sunday League second division form continued during their 4-0 defeat of Strongwood Reserves.
Jack Willan opened the scoring with a sublime free-kick and the advantage was doubled before the break thanks to a 25-yard belter from right back Mike Grayshan.
Midfielder Steve Dorey carried on his recent run of form finding the back of the net for the hosts as he extended the score to 3-0 early in the second half.
Johnny Smith wrapped things up for Ayton late on when he converted a penalty following a foul on Jack Willan.
After losing their opening day fixture of the season Ayton have gone on to register three straight victories.
Ayton's Mark Plumpton said: "We are playing with confidence and are hoping to do well.
"We did not start off the best but the lads have found their feet and are enjoying their football, especially Steve Dorey who is at present our top scorer."
Four players all scored a goal apiece when Trafalgar Reserves claimed a comfortable 8-2 home victory over Star Reserves.
Callum Mason, Ben Sheader, Dave Bramley and Mike Tate all hit the back of the net for the winners who were always on top of proceedings.
Nick Ellis and Chris Stubbings both got their names on the scoresheet for Star but they spent a lot of the game defending.
Defender Mike Jeffries and goalkeeper James Sanderson both put in solid displays for Trafalgar's second string.
Striker Luke Delve bagged a hat-trick to help his Burniston and Cloughton outfit win 7-0 at Heslerton.
In a game where the away side were four goals up at the interval, Delve was a constant threat to the Heslerton defence.
Lee Dryedale and Mark Waterfield both chipped in with a brace apiece for Burniston, who are one of the early season favourites to push for promotion.
Burniston and Cloughton's Darren Moon said: "It was a good display from the lads and I was pleased that we managed to put away so many of our chances.
"Mark Waterfield scored the goal of the game with a superb strike from 30 yards into the top corner.
"We want to do our best to try and push for promotion this season and we are confident."
