Police appeal over mugging

A MUGGER snatched a woman's basket as she walked towards Scarborough Castle.
The thief, who is described as white, 6ft tall, thin and tanned, wearing dark clothing and a dark hat, approached her from behind on Castle Road and grabbed the purple and orange basket which contained treasured family photographs.

He ran off after striking between 5.10pm and 5.20pm on Monday.
