THE Round Table Santa sleigh is set to start up on its tour of Scarborough tonight, following cancellations last week due to the weather.

The revised timetable will see the first outing of the fundraising sleigh this evening around the Woodlands area of Scarborough.

Each night the tour will start at 6.30pm and the timetable is as follows: tonight, Woodlands; tomorrow, Peasholm; Wednesday, Falsgrave; Thursday, Ayton; Friday, Newlands; December 13, Victoria Road; December 14, Newby; December 15, Eastfield; December 16, Crossgates; December 17, Gladstone Road.

The festive fundraising event has been going for about 30 years and last year raised around £3,300.

All the money is given to local groups including a number of children’s charities.
