YOUNGSTERS at a Scarborough nursery enjoyed a taste of Asia after celebrating the Chinese New Year.
The children from Buckets and Spades Nursery, in Victoria Road, were treated to a raft of traditional delicacies including spring rolls and prawn crackers and also made masks to herald the Year of the Dragon.
David Bevan, pre-school supervisor, said the youngsters had enjoyed a fabulous time.
He said: “They all made traditional cards and we had some food brought in by one of the parents.
“We also had some of the red parcels that are exchanged at New Year to give the children an idea what happens.
“They also got the chance to use chopsticks and made some great Dragon masks.
“They absolutely loved it and really enjoyed themselves.”
