Network hopes to support social enterprise

COMMUNITY groups in Scarborough are hoping to create a new Social Enterprise Network Forum.

People in the town thinking of setting up a social enterprise or charitable organisation are being invited to attend an event where they can meet others doing the same thing.

Organisers of the event from the Seachange charity are hoping to create a Yorkshire Coast Social Enterprise Network in which members will support and benefit from each other.

The meeting is being held at Falsgrave Community Resource Centre on Thursday March 8 from 9.30am to 12pm.

It is set to feature talks from Avis Turner, chief Executive of Basics Plus @ Betton Farm, and Kath Taylor, trustee of Esk Moors Caringe.

To reserve a place or find out more email socialenterprise@seachange-community.org.
