'Mistaken' pressures on young people
OVER recent weeks it has been reported that our MPs make "mistakes" or perhaps don't know what is an expense and what isn't.
Some are big mistakes and now they are trying to put them right.
At the next election some of these MPs won't be there because of their mistakes.
I believe our parliamentarians are about to make another big mistake.
I understand they are looking at proposals to allow providers of abortions to advertise on television. I'm also given to understand that Government policy is to give school nurses and other advisers the right to refer senior school pupils for abortions without parental knowledge. Sexual health clinics will be established in senior schools where advice and information could also be given.
I also understand this advice will also be given in their sexual education lessons.
Our young people may be persuaded to do something they may regret for the rest of their lives.
As a parent and grandparent I see more and more an erosion of parental rights and family life. How can a government that has made such a mess-up of their expense claims etc take parental rights away?
I believe they've got this one wrong also. To me it just does not add up!
Parents are responsible for their children, but only when it suits the Government.
