A MEETING has been organised to discuss how a national report on retail can be applied to Scarborough’s town centre.
The report was commissioned by the Government when Prime Minister David Cameron asked Mary Portas to study town centres, their performances and their results.
Her findings are now to be the subject of a meeting between Scarborough’s traders, who are set to discuss how the report can applied to the local retail scene.
The meeting has been organised by Scarborough Council’s investment manager Nick Taylor.
Speaking to local traders Mr Taylor said: “This affects us all and you need to come along to a brief summary of the review, followed by a discussion of where we go next.”
Shop keepers are being urged to read the report online at www.bis.gov.uk
The meeting is being held at Scarborough Library, in Vernon Road, on Thursday, February 9 at 11am.
For more information contact Mr Taylor on (01723) 232440 or email nick.taylor@scarborough.gov.uk
