Macmillan’s quiz world record bid

A LEADING cancer charity is looking for Scarborough people to help set a new world record for the most simultaneous quizzes ever held.

Macmillan Cancer Support is looking for local groups and businesses to host a Mammoth Quiz on February 24 in venues across Scarborough.

The charity hopes the quiz night will not only raise cash to fund its cancer services, but also help them make it into the Guinness Book of Records.

Sally Millington, fundraising manager for Scarborough, said: “The quizzes can be held anywhere, from the local pub or bowling club to a local factory, office or school.

It costs £10 to register and every organisation that signs up will be sent a quiz pack including questions and answers, information about fundraising and some balloons and banner.

To be counted as part of the world record attempt quizzes must be held at 7:45pm on February 24.
