Lifeboat day set to boost coffers

SCARBOROUGH fundraisers are being urged to make a big splash and boost a charity’s coffers.

The Filey Ladies Lifeboat Guild are holding a Supporters Day on Wednesday, February 22, for people to donate to the cause. 2012.

Organisers behind the event, which will be held in Filey Library, in Station Road, have appealed for items to swell profits.

They are asking for any unwanted gifts which could be used on the tombola or raffles, and any books which could give someone else a good read.

Members of the Ladies Lifeboat Guild will be present throughout the day to meet people and will be available to speak to anyone interested in helping future fundraising efforts.

Lifeboat crew members are also hoping to pay a visit to the event.

The special day will take place between 10am until 3pm.

Everyone is welcome.
