Invitation to a tasty charity fundraiser

FUNDRAISING is a piece of cake for members of the Scarborough branch of Cancer Research UK, who are staging an afternoon tea and cake decorating demonstration at South Cliff Methodist Church Hall from 2.30pm tomorrow.

Branch secretary Jill Blanchard, who spent two years training in cake decorating, will be showing visitors how it is done and sharing some of her easy ideas for home bakers.

After the demonstration, the group will be holding a raffle and celebration.

“We reckon fund-raising is a piece of cake!” said spokesman Roy Briggs, who is encouraging as many people as possible to come along.

Admission to the event is £3, which includes tea and cake, and everyone is welcome.

To find out more, call Mr Briggs on 503076.
