Has store talk been shelved at last?

NOW the talk has died down, is it safe to assume, and hope, that the applications for a supermarket on the Dean Road site have been permanently refused?

Scarborough is a premier holiday resort.

So would it be a good thing to build something to attract more holidaymakers?

Something on the lines of a leisure centre with a range of activities would, to me, be a good idea.

After all, in summer we occasionally get rain, and as it is at the moment, there is precious little to do on such days.
