SCARBOROUGH housing association Yorkshire Coast Homes has stepped in to provide a new headquarters for a well established charity.

Scarborough Disablement Action Group has moved its services in to Yorkshire Coast Homes’ offices in Gladstone Road.

The charity, which provides practical help and advice to people with disabilities, has moved out of its previous base at Allatt House.

The change will enable the charity to provide its services via the Brook House reception and also mean it can work more closely with the housing provider.

Yorkshire Coast Homes’s assistant director of communities, Sarah Bird, said there was a natural link between the group’s services and those offered by the housing association.

“We are very happy to provide a new base for Scarborough DAG,” she said. “It means we can work more closely with them, for example, in terms of offering benefits advice and to that end they will be working with our money management officer, Andy Rose.”
