Burton Agnes orchid event

BURTON Agnes Hall will be alive with colour at its annual orchid weekend next month.

The event, created by the Cunliffe-Lister family in partnership with local orchid expert Ray Creek, spans the weekend of March 3-4 and brings a stunning collection of orchids and their vibrant colours to the hall.

The Elizabethan Great Hall will be filled with glorious displays of the flowers; there will also be expert talks, slide shows and specialist advice about growing and caring for your own orchids.

Spokesman Simon Cunliffe-Lister said: “We always look forward to the Orchid Festival at Burton Agnes. After the dark, cold days of winter it’s a treat to work with so many beautifully coloured orchids, creating fun and intriguing displays for our visitors.”
