	     	<title><![CDATA[Ace Scales weighs in with treble for Turks]]></title>

				     		     	<description><![CDATA[<!--PSTYLE=WINT Web Intro--><p><strong>TURKS Head</strong> booked their place in the semi-finals of the McCain Cup with a 6-4 win at home to fellow third division promotion-chasers <strong>Cayton Corinthians</strong>.</p><!--PSTYLE=WBDY Web Bodytext--><p>Jon Cairns opened the scoring for the hosts and an own goal doubled their advantage.</p><p>Left-sided midfielder Harry Holden smashed in a brace of goals to level the scores, with Michael Dennis putting Cayton in front.</p><p>Tom Scales scored on the stroke of half-time to complete a thrilling first half and leave the scores at 3-3.</p><p>With the first attack of the second half, Jordan Aitkens restored the hosts&#8217; lead.</p><p>Scales&#8217; second goal made it 5-3, but Holden completed his hat-trick to keep Cayton in the cup-tie.</p><p>The visitors then earned a penalty, but they missed the chance to level whan Dennis&#8217; spot-kick was saved, Turks Head left-back Lee Donaldson also clearing the rebound off the goal-line.</p><p>Scales earned his hat-trick with Turks&#8217; sixth goal, securing the home side&#8217;s place in the semis.</p><p>Donaldson earned the man-of-the-match award for the hosts, while Holden and centre-back Rennison shone for Cayton.</p><p>Substitute keeper Carl Marton proved to be the hero in <strong>itis itis&#8217;</strong> penalty shoot-out win at third division leaders <strong>West Pier Reserves</strong>.</p><p>Neither side managed to break through in the opening 45 minutes, and 10 minutes into the second half, visiting keeper Tom Hicks was sent off for a professional foul, with Marton coming on to replace him in goal.</p><p>Despite a long spell of Pier pressure, itis itis defended well with Marton pulling off some top saves to keep a clean sheet for the remainder of normal time and the extra 30 minutes.</p><p>Both teams converted all their first four spot-kicks, but man of the match Marton saved the final Pier effort and Phil Meads blasted home the fifth and final penalty to send the visitors through to the final four.</p><p>The other successful itis itis penalty-takers were brothers Paul and Mark Oldroyd, Jono Lorains and Tom Clark.</p><p><strong>Victoria Reserves</strong> surged to an 8-1 home win against second division<strong> Sun Inn</strong>.</p><p>Tom Allen banged in a first-half hat-trick against his old team to put Victoria in the driving seat at half-time.</p><p>Danny Collins came on at half-time and smacked in four goals, with Adam Martin completing the scoring for the hosts.</p><p>Carl Hepples had netted Sun&#8217;s only goal to pull it back to 5-1.</p><p>Billy Johnson, Victoria&#8217;s first-team boss, who was watching the game, said: &#8220;All the lads played superbly, with Tom the best of the lot against his old team.</p><p>&#8220;This was a big result for them and they should all be proud of their efforts.&#8221;</p><p>Third division <strong>Commercial</strong> set up a quarter-final clash with Manor after winning 3-0 at home to division two side <strong>Pirates</strong>.</p><p>The game started with a major blow for the hosts, as their striker Tim Boorer limped off with a knee injury, Nick Palmer stepping into the breach.</p><p>Palmer put Commercial ahead in the 20th minute with a header from a Mike Clark fre-kick.</p><p>Palmer made it 2-0 midway through the second half and a late strike from fellow sub Matty Moorhouse confirmed the win.</p><p>Midfielder Stu Lincoln, keeper Ash Buck and Palmer all shone for the victors.</p>]]></description>

	     	<title><![CDATA[Haxby double helps Flyers sink West Pier]]></title>

				     		     	<description><![CDATA[<!--PSTYLE=WINT Web Intro--><p><strong>FILEY Flyers</strong> pulled off one of the shock results of the season, winning 4-1 at division one title-chasers <strong>West Pier</strong>.</p><!--PSTYLE=WBDY Web Bodytext--><p>The home side, who have won all nine of their league games this season, looked to be in the driving seat when Jamie Bradshaw opened the scoring 10 minutes before half-time, running across the Filey defence and beating the keeper with his shot.</p><p>Flyers stepped up a gear after the break and five minutes into the second half Josh McKaig levelled for the visitors with a lobbed shot over Pier keeper Scott Wardman, after a fine knock-down by Phil Dickens.</p><p>On the hour mark Tom Haxby controlled the ball with his left foot and fired in a stunning right-foot volley from 20 yards that fizzed past the helpless Wardman. </p><p>A similar strike from Haxby made it 3-1 and then eight minutes from time, player-boss Martyn Jenkinson set up McKaig to lob Wardman from 25 yards to seal the victory.</p><p>Returning centre-back Lee Eblet shone for Flyers with striker Bradshaw a constant danger for Pier.</p><p><strong>Seamer</strong> booked their place in the semi-finals with a 5-3 win at fellow second division side <strong>Fylingdales</strong>.</p><p>Luke Jones opened the scoring direct from a corner for Seamer, an Andy Noon own goal levelling the scores.</p><p>Jones restored the lead with a replica of his first effort, Dan Layton adding a third to put the visitors in charge.</p><p>The hosts refused to buckle and made it 3-3 with goals from the hosts&#8217; man of the match Paddy Chandler and Jake Faichney.</p><p>With 10 minutes to go, a 20-yard free-kick from midfielder Joe Danby put Seamer back in front, and then James Seymour&#8217;s header from a corner confirmed their spot in the semis.</p><p>Danby was named as the Seamer man of the match for a commanding display in midfield.</p><p/>]]></description>

				     		     	<description><![CDATA[<!--PSTYLE=WINT Web Intro--><p>SCARBOROUGH Athletic defender Dave Kemp could be in hot water after an incident during the club&#8217;s 2-0 defeat at Winterton Rangers on Saturday.</p><!--PSTYLE=WBDY Web Bodytext--><p>After receiving a red card for a foul in the second half, Kemp proceeded to kick through a door on his return to the dressing room.</p><p>Boro have already apologised to the Lincolnshire club and have agreed to pay any costs for the door, but the incident certainly hasn&#8217;t pleased chairman Dave Holland.</p><p>Holland said: &#8220;We have apologised as a club and if there is a cost we will definitely pay it.</p><p>&#8220;It is something that we will be dealing with internally, the discipline will be down to the manager.</p><p>&#8220;We will have to see whether we decide to shunt the costs onto the player or what other options we will take.</p><p>&#8220;I am disappointed by Dave Kemp&#8217;s reaction to being sent off.</p><p>&#8220;He is paid to play football for Scarborough Athletic and the fact that he totally lost control isn&#8217;t great.</p><p>&#8220;We do expect more self control than that.
