The refurbished Corner Cafe-Bar and Restau-rant is comfortable and stylish with co-ordinating decor and furnishings and comfortable seating.
There are two different seating areas depending on whether you are having a snack or a full meal. The bar area is bright and cheerful with the restaurant to the rear with more subdued lighting. The seating is in dark brown leather with a slightly minimilistic feel.

A varied menu is offered starting with breakfast from 9-10.30am which costs £3.95 for a small and the deluxe £6. They also serve a
continental breakfast, fruit platter and a vegetarian breakfast.

Light bites start at £4 with different sandwiches. The lunch menu starts at around £4.95 upwards. There is a selection on the specials board and very tasty desserts. These are served until 6pm from when the evening dinner menu is served until 9pm, or 9.30pm Friday and Saturdays. They also offer a children's menu for up to 10s until 2pm.

We decided on prawn omelette for myself at £5.95 and Vin had cajun chicken at £6.50. These came with lovely potato wedge type chips, salad and potatoes and vegetables if required at no extra charge. The cajun chicken also had a very tasty yoghurt and mint dip.

We also had speciality teas of which they serve a good selection along with a selection of tea and coffees. These were £1.45 each and held two cups which were topped up to another two cups at no extra charge.

We found the meals tasty and filling and throughly enjoyed them. The staff were very cheerful and helpful. Highchairs were available and the toilets very clean and modern with disabled access.

Overall it was a lovely experience, good food and well worth a visit.

Overall opinion *****

Value for money *****
