COASTERS Community Café is a project of Coast & Moors Voluntary Action, who aim to make a difference in Eastfield by developing and supporting local people.
It provides training, employment and work experience opportunities for local residents and young people, as well as providing a place for people to meet, eat and socialise.

On offer is a selection of coffees, teas, hot chocolate and cold drinks, priced 40p - £1.65, breakfasts and breakfast sandwiches from £1.45 - £2.55, other sandwiches £1.55 - £1.65, salads £3.25, omelette, soup, jacket potatoes, quiche and scampi £1.80 - £3.95 and children's meals and a drink of squash £2.00.

A selection of homemade cakes is also on offer. As I had taken Helen for her final midwife appointment we decided to try this new café.

We were surprised how spacious and modern it was inside, with its wooden tables and chairs, a wooden bar with bar stools around the windows, cream walls and a silver counter where a lovely lady and gentleman who were serving that day were only too happy to help ensure everything was to our liking.

There is also plenty of room to accommodate wheelchairs and prams. We decided to have the special scampi and potato wedges and cheese and ham omelette served with jacket potato and salad.

They both were very nice and were beautifully presented. To drink we had tea and a latte, both served in lovely white crockery and more water for the tea if needed is available on request.

The toilet was basic but very clean and suitable for the disabled, but no nappy changing facilities available.

Overall a lovely clean café with friendly staff and good food at a great price.

Overall opinion: 3.5
Value for money: 4
