THE company which is bringing a high-speed broadband link to Scarborough Business Park has partnered with e-skills UK to promote its Business IT Guide.
NYnet is a collaboration between North Yorkshire County Council and Yorkshire Forward to provide a faster, cheaper broadband infrastructure to the area.

NYnet will fund and promote the Business IT Guide (BITG) in the Yorkshire region for a year pr
oviding advice, services and programmes to all small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in the area. NYnet and local council websites in Yorkshire will also provide a link to the e-skills website as well as sharing content.

e-skills UK is a social enterprise which aims to ensure the UK has the skills it needs to compete in the global economy by bringing together employers, educators and local government to technology-related skills issues around the UK.

The BITG is an online resource designed to help managers and leaders of SMEs understand how technology could benefit their business and support them in taking the necessary action to utilise that technology.

Andy Lister, sales and marketing director at NYnet, said: "We are pleased to be able to offer this valuable resource to provide guidance and support to SMEs. We believe that for businesses to flourish they need sufficient IT training and facilities.

"Combined with our high speed broadband in North Yorkshire, the support offered by e-skills UK will help improve the economic strength of the area."
