A SCARBOROUGH supermarket worker cross-dressed to impress in the name of charity.
"Checkout chick" Steve Todd, deputy manager at Morrisons in Eastfield, went the extra mile to raise money for St Catherine's Hospice.

Store manager Richard Oglesby was impressed by his colleague's efforts.

He said: "It was Steve's own idea. I think that kind of thing comes naturally to him. We held a bucket collection in the store and raised about £200 to £250.

"The customers just reacted with shock but we are all very proud of Steve for his bravery!"
