Bridlington Spa battle back to win East Riding County League Junior Cup final
After missing out on cup final glory at their last two attempts, Division One promotion-chasers Spa battled back from 1-0 down to secure a 3-1 win against the Division Two champions elect thanks to goals from Oliver Brown, Sam Clarke and Tom Coates.
A Spa spokesperson said: “This was a big day for all involved with the club yesterday, the hard work everyone puts in it feels great to come away with the trophy.

"The second half we came out on top with two goals within the first five to 10 minutes, the first being a penalty-kick and the other thanks to some well-worked play.
"Our third came in the last 15 minutes nicking the ball off the Springhead centre-half and running through with a driven shot into the far corner sealing the win and the trophy.
"After two years of just missing out and losing two other cup finals this one feels all the more special.”
